Common Questions

  • When you place your order you’ll provide a reference photo and contact information.

    You will be notified:

    1. Once the order is received

    2. If I have any additional questions or concerns

    3. Once the illustration is complete

    4. Once delivery is in progress

  • Unless otherwise notified, portraits will be completed within 2 weeks from the date ordered. You will be notified via email once your portrait is ready.

  • Traditional Portraits

    Will be sent by USPS Standard US shipping. If anything different is needed, please let me know ASAP.

    Digital Portraits

    Will be delivered via email in either an image (jpg/png) or PDF format for easy printing and online usage. Editable Procreate or Photoshop files are not included

  • Yes I’ve illustrated 5 children’s books. Some were privately published but you can purchase Zola, Peace President and The Fashion Sisters online from their respective authors.

    1. Payment - Children’s books are time intense and require financial commitment up front. Monthly payment plans are available at check out.

    2. Consultation - We will schedule a 45 min phone or video call to discuss what your story is about, what you want your characters to look like and what illustrations you had in mind.

    3. Character Design - I will send over sketches of any main characters based on the details you provided. This will include several hair and coloring options for you to choose from.

    4. Rough Drafts - Based on the details you provided in the consultation I will provide rough sketches for how each page will be laid out. This is a chance for you to offer feedback early.

    5. Line Art - Based on your feedback, I will provide clean outlines for your illustrations. This will give you a chance to add or remove details before coloring

    6. Color - Once the layout and details are confirmed, I will provided the final illustrated versions of each page. Please note, only minor changes are allowed at this stage.

    7. Completion - Once all illustrations are complete I will provide all final files in the desired format (jpg/png/pdf) and you will receive a certificate of project completion.

  • No. My prices are based on my skill as an artist and the time needed to complete a piece. The number of people and the amount of detail in a picture impact the time needed for completion and that is reflected in the final price.

    Children’s books in particular tend to have a lot of background details like a bedroom, park or school and may require several edits to match the authors vision.
